Wim Van Gelder (°1981) first started listening to trance music intensively when he was about 16 years old. He was immediately impressed by the feelings this sort of music can bring forward in a person; without often having to say or sing any word at all.

He started producing back in 2000 when he first discovered a decent and easy-to-use sequencer, named Fruityloops (now called FL Studio). Still sticking to this versatile and user-friendly tool today, he already has various releases on his wall, with record labels such as Discover Records (Flux Delux), Somatic Sense, Afterglow Records, Alter Ego Records and more.

Current guises he is using, are Icone (most frequently), Van Gelder, Blue Manta and The Elemental; each for which he tends to aim at a certain ‘type’ and ‘sound’ of uplifting trance.

Fueled by a lot of nostalgia from 1997-2002 and powered by a big affinity towards epic, uplifting trance; expect more stomping, no-bullshit euphoric trancers to come!
